COMMIT TO TEN-MINUTES OF MOVEMENT AND I'M CONFIDENT YOU'LL FEEL BETTER!

I used to think, “If I can’t make it to the studio for an hour class then what’s the point?” or “If I’m not getting in a high-intensity workout, then it’s a waste of time.” 

All too often I found myself making excuses as to why I couldn’t get in 30-60 minutes of movement. Then I soon realized, I wasn’t getting in much of any movement because it’s difficult to schedule that time out of the house as a mom-of-four. 

I gently began reminding myself that “Any movement is good movement”. I’d ask myself, “What do I need most today?” If my heart guided me toward more active exercise, I’d get my sweat on. If my body was craving gentle movement, I honored that message and enjoyed a few stretches, deep breaths and moments of stillness.

As mothers, we’re on-call 24/7. We must give ourselves permission to tune in to the messages our bodies are sending to us. This is where “trusting our journey” continues. 

You are in a new season of life. Embrace moving forward. 

Sometimes these small steps come with ten minutes of movement. It allows you to care for your body, heart and mind. 

Ten minutes of movement can encourage a shift to happen within as you remember, “I am a priority”. 

No more excuses, my friend, let’s do this together!

What you can expect:

I’ve created six, ten-minute yoga segments that are designed for busy (yet mindful) humans. These yoga videos are for that “beyond” portion of motherhood: after pregnancy and postpartum, once your body has physically healed from the grand transformation of pregnancy and birth. 

Next, the decision begins with you, ask yourself “What do I need today?”. There is wisdom within our bodies if we can give ourselves permission to listen. So, ask yourself this Q, then browse the titles. 

Select one or more segments to enjoy, depending on your energy level that day. 

Active poses? Standing balances? Gentle stretch sequence? It’s like an á la carte yoga menu! 

If all you’ve got is ten minutes, choose one video. If you’ve got a little more time and want to sweat, add core work, then stretch, we can make that happen too!

If you have little ones at home, you can also expect to be interrupted. It’s all good, my friend. Press pause. Come back when you can. Begin again tomorrow. You might even have your toddler or older kiddo(s) join you!  

Each journey is unique. Relax that grip on your expectations and be gentle with yourself in this beautifully messy mom-life.
